Project details

Not many categories within the figure industry beat the rarity of male figures but one of these may very well be dark-skinned females. Supposedly, Muramasa (III) is the human form av a soul-infused armor called Tsurugi, aiding main character Kageaki in the visual novel Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa. The novel was released for the PC in late 2009 and developed by Nitroplus.

The oval-shaped base sports a chestnut finish covered by a smooth red felt, making this mostly colorless figure pop. Additional accessories include a crafted table with an accompanying tea-set. I did notice the teapot easily sliding around on the serving tray while adjusting the figure, perhaps Max Factory were dead serious in recreating the character’s clumsiness seen in the visual novel.
There’s also a lesser cast-off option provided, enabling you to remove the lower part of the dress, exposing black lingerie. Kudos to Max Factory for ensuring that all the loose body parts were given the Lego treatment as they all fit perfectly together when assembling the appearance of choice.

Basing a figure off an illustration turned it into an impressive looking item. There are no obvious visual flaws but if I had to pick something it would be a request for a slightly shorter skirt, revealing just a little more posterior. The castoff doesn’t add anything unique although it enhances the reasons behind Muramasa’s blushed cheeks and I’m guessing that’s the way most will want to display her.

That was a nice review, it directly leads me to the question why I haven’t ordered her before? She’s seems to be gorgeous overall (>◡<). I was a bit afraid that her skintone might look a bit odd in the final product, but Max Factory did a great job with this and her facial expression, these eyes are lovely.

The maid outfit looks quite elegant, even so I like the more sexy way to display her without the skirt, it's nice that she is wearing more fancy panties.

Your pictures portrayed her very well. I like that experimented with some unusual angles and the backdrop is quite befitting, bought or selfmade?

I guess I will be able to get her at a local store, it was quite convincing what I've seen here, thx :)

Oh boy this figure is so lovely. A clumsy embarrassed maid? Can’t get any better than that. Much like everyone I didn’t know who she was and had to look it up. Not what I was expecting.

I love the pose and outfit, the skirt is just the right length, with just the right angle, oh my!

The set up looks quite nice, quite fitting for this figure.

It’s great to see another dark skin toned figure out there. As you say Villetta Nu is probably the most notable, but there’s also the recent Arshes Nei by Orchid Seed that springs to mind. However there is one particular character of note missing. A certain Queen’s Blade lady who has been completely glossed over. Even the Queen’s Blade OVA joined in the mass trolling by having fictional figures of her for sale. *fistshake*

Muramasa looks really nice, although not a figure I’d pick up. The base does add a bit of colour to her rather drab maid outfit. I’m not a huge fan of the maid look but Muramasa wears it well. The embarrassed facial expression she sports is nicely done – I feel guilty just looking at her.

The skirt cast-off is nice and all, but it just feels somewhat crude. Shortening the skirt length would have been a better option I’d say if they wanted to show off her pants/bottom. Saying that her black underwear looks nice.

An adorable praying mantis – no thanks xD. Although I can see it – the triangular face shape, mantis shaped eyes, and hair antenna.

I notice the little jug of milk has been filled which is a nice touch. I assume the cake & flowers are from something else?
