Millhiore F. Biscotti by Good Smile Company
Project details
With every new anime season comes a few filler shows; they’re not that good nor are they outright bad, they’re just there to fill the void between the good series. For me, Dog Days was one of those candidates. Sharing similarities with the ever so popular Zero no Tsukaima the show definitely had heart and a couple of likeable characters, Millhiore being one of them.
Good Smile Company has taken the, not too surprisingly, generic road when it comes to the figure itself who’s dashing out into the great wide open with her arms stretched out.
The dress itself is undoubtedly the most eye-catching thing about Millhiore. Layer upon layer, frilled and jagged, the cloth flows naturally around her timid build. Hands and arms are protected by long gloves that together with the dress cover up most of Millhiore’s body.

“What the hell, this is not a cat figure” obviously not, or are there cats with droopy ears XD
So you borrowed the figure for the shooting, thats cool ^^
I was very interested in this Milhi figure, but decided against her purchase in the end. Outfit and pose seem to be very well done, but I would have prefered her with more prominent blushmarks. For an overly cute character like her, they are a little too faint, I have to say. Anyway she’s still adorable
Your setup for her is very cute, I really like the clouds on the background.
Nightmare
Over-excitement can cause a person to see or say the most peculiar of things, I’m sure.
As far as I know, or see, as I’m zooming in on the figure’s face, there are no visible blush marks to behold. While the source illustration featured them it appears Good Smile decided to hold them off, a wise decision on their part I think. Happiness doesn’t translate as naturally into blush marks as embarrassment does but that’s just a personal opinion, I’m positive Millhiore rocks both facial expressions, with or without the red cheeks.
For me, this year is all about pushing the personal barriers further when it comes to photography, post-processing and experimenting. Scenery is certainly a part of the experimenting portion and one I find very enjoyable to work with, although lighting gets exponentially more challenging as you add more objects to your scene.
