It's quite a feat when a character is shown a mere few seconds in an original video animation and later turned full-fledged scale from one of the bigger companies in the figure industry. This is indeed the case with Strength from the Black Rock Shooter franchise.
Strength is to my knowledge, the sinister persona of Yuu, a girl who befriends main character Mato Kuroi / Black Rock Shooter and also act as her basketball coach.
Figure wise this is probably my first choice in the Black Rock Shooter lineup.
There is something quite appealing about a tiny female equipped with enormous robotic hands.
Brutal things come in small packages.

Just like Nessa, this figure is hovering above ground. The difference beeing a much more elegant approach to Strength as her body and gear attach to the base leaving nothing to displease the viewer. The pose also appear more realistic as Strength is either landing on her feet or taking off backwards.
"I'll crush you under fo...uh, gigantic palm."

It may be mainstream, it may be Good Smile Company once again playing it safe but there's no denying they keep making excellent scales. The one gripe I have with this figure is the cloth covering Strength's mouth. It doesn't sit right with me and looks subpar to the rest of her clothes.

Many would certainly deem any woman wearing thigh high spandex boots with ribbons to be oozing sex appeal but there's nothing sexy about Strength in the slightest. I'd go as far as cute, a Little Red Riding Hood gone Little Black Crushing Glove.
A young girl with a fetter like object around her leg is somewhat disturbing, especially in this day and age.

Fellow owners of Black Rock Shooter scales from Good Smile may rejoice by the pleasant absence of chains. Assembling any figure is half the fun of owning one but not at the cost of ones' sanity.
The Black Rock Shooter lineup is an overall impressive display including both the original and animation versions of a quartet also featuring Black Rock Shooter herself, Dead Master and Black Gold Saw. I'm already curious to see how the original version of Strength from Good Smile will turn out, even if I prefer the animation versions across the board.
