Purpose
The site is strictly for fun, to display any anime figure or custom creation that comes my way and present them in the best way I can.
Origin
Having been an anime fan for many years, it wasn't until the airing of Bakemonogatari in late 2009 that sparked an interest in figures. Exploring unknown territory, it became quite clear that very few companies produced figures of high quality, something I find most important.
It would be little over a year later before I finally jumped the gun and ordered Hitagi Senjougahara from Good Smile Company in late January of 2011. Being very impressed with the craftmanship of the figure, I knew I wanted to present her and future arrivals properly.
This led me to photography. Most of my learning and inspiration came from talking to like-minded figure reviewers around the world.
Being asked by friends to display the figures I acquired, neathgrim.com launched in late July of 2011.
